Paresh Martial Arts is a family martial arts center nestled in the heart of San Francisco's Inner Sunset neighborhood. We offer Kids, Adults and Family classes ranging from beginner to advanced. From age 3 and up, we have classes for the whole family! Our Martial Arts Classes
Ages 3 +
One of Paresh’s signature classes, the Family Classes give parents and kids the unique opportunity to train together, further developing the partnership of parent and child. Each class follows opening and closing tradition while the body of the class explores martial arts foundations, kicks, blocks, punches, stances, while maintaining a playful environment. Parents, be ready to move and sweat, this class is designed to keep you on your toes and provide a work out for you as well!
The Tiny Tigers program for 3-4 year olds consists of exciting, play-based classes which explore martial movements in a safe environment. The focus of this program is to develop an ability to increase focus, coordination, confidence, fitness, motor skills, listening and safe play with others. Tiny Tigers learn basic stances, blocks, kicks, punches, self-defense, forms, and etiquette, earning stripes along the way. Tiny Tigers is a strong, developmentally appropriate program that supports the growth and development of the young child. Students may register to attend once or twice a week."

The Little Dragons program for 5-6 year olds brings the foundations of the martial arts to life. Students learn basic stances, blocks, kicks, punches, self-defense, forms, and etiquette, earning stripes in class and the foundations for traditional requirements. Children develop listening skills, eye hand coordination, focus, respect and safe play. Through team building exercises, students engage with others in an empowering context, develop independent thinking, and practice leadership.

In the Juniors class the fundamentals are developed without losing the fun aspect. This is a traditional class setting, with international rank requirements. Class structure covers all key elements of curriculum: Stances, blocking, striking, kicking, forms, self defense, sparring, weapons and breaking.

Teens & Adults
45 & 75 minutes
In this traditional class students of all rank train together. Class offers challenging drills, limit pushing exercises, mental and physical demands that sharpen each students ability to take all aspects of themselves to the next level. Students get a warm up, cardio workout, mental and physical challenge resulting in a total mind-body experience.

3rd Degree Black Belt
Ms. Ohlson put on her first uniform in 1982 with Louise H. Piaget, 5th National Judo Champion. In 2007 her lifetime dream came true as she opened Paresh Martial Arts.

Mr. Aguillo joined PMA in 2010 having trained in Tang Soo Do growing up in Pennsylvania, at his home studio A Mountain Wind TSD with his instructor, Master Scott Merrill.
2nd Degree Black Belt
Mr. Williams began his training in San Diego, continued on to earn his Black Belt with Master Scota in South Carolina. His area of focus is sparring, so keep your hands up, team!
